The historical and great Museum of Bouboulina in Spetses was founded in 1991 by Philip Demertzis-Boumboulis, 5th generation descendant of Laskarina Bouboulina, in a last-ditch attempt to save the 1821 heroic mansion of the 1821 heroine. Private law, is primarily aimed at repairing and maintaining the heroine’s mansion in Spetses, its function as a museum and cultural center, as well as the dissemination of the history of Laskarina Bouboulina.

Since its establishment to date, it has been spent on repairing the building and maintaining exhibits over € 1,500,000, while the Museum has welcomed more than 1,200,000 visitors (of which 400,000 are students) both from Greece and abroad! If you are in Spetses, it is worth a visit to the Captain’s mansion, which left its mark on the struggle for freedom and the cosmopolitan island of Argosaronikos.
