Nicole Kidman will be honored with the 10th Women in Motion Award, awarded to celebrities who “evolve the position of women in cinema and society” during the 78th Cannes Festival in May.

“This is the first time Nicole Kidman returns to the Cannes Festival after the anniversary award she had been awarded during the 70th Festival in 2017,” said the Kering luxury group, who is responsible for the prize and the festival.

“In every role, with the differences, forces and the defects of each character (Kidman) embodied women released from the bonds,” said the festival’s general manager, Thierry Frey, in a press release.

The organizers have chosen for this award one of Hollywood’s most famous faces: the 57 -year -old actress and producer has not left the big screen since the 1990s, starring in films such as “Eyes Closed” (1999) or “Moulin”.
