Ecstatic to be with her son Gabriel in his first Lollapalooza, Astrid Fontenelle says she is also very excited about the return of cultural events. “Culture was our relief during the pandemic and I’m even excited to be able to be in a place where music is exalted, especially being able to bring my son here for the first time”, she pointed out.
At Lolla Lounge, inside the Interlagos Circuit, in São Paulo, she said that she often exchanges information about music with her son. “She shows me everything about Brazilian culture, like samba, bossa nova,” said Gabriel. “I’m more of international pop, and I show my mom a lot.”
Ready for the three-day festival, the duo wants to see shows like the Strokes, Doja Cat, Miley Cyrus, Silva and Foo Fighters. “Gabriel knows everything about Lolla’s line-up, he showed me a little bit of what’s to come”, commented Astrid.
It was Gabriel who asked his mother to take him to the festival. Before, the presenter jokes that he accompanied her out of obligation. “There was one time, at a Rolling Stones concert, that I took him thanks, but he liked it,” she assured her. “I will always encourage music in his life, as it has always been in mine.”
Lollapalooza Brasil 2022 started this Friday (25th) and brings together public and major attractions until Sunday 927) at the Interlagos race track (south of São Paulo).
Attractions such as Foo Fighters, Strokes, Miley Cyrus, Doja Cat, A$AP Rocky and Martin Garrix are scheduled as headliners. Among the national names are Emicida, Alok, Pabllo Vittar, Gloria Groove, Djonga, MC Tha and Rashid.
