Tati Machado, 33, thrilled fans by publishing, on Monday (2), a long and painful outburst about the loss of his first child, Rael, the result of marriage to Bruno Monteiro.

The host was 33 weeks pregnant when, on May 12, she sought the maternity ward after realizing that the baby had stopped moving. It was then that he received the hardest news of his life: his son’s heart had stopped beating.

“I take a lit wound in my heart, one of those inexplicable. With her I bring questions, many by the way. And of answer: the silence. The mystery of life,” she wrote in a moving account. “And now the only certainty I have is that I will never be the same. Everything hurts, everything! It hurts to breathe and it hurts to live.”

The post marks Tati’s first public demonstration since the announcement of the loss, made on May 13. In her text, the presenter talks about the emotional impact of the tragedy and the difficulty of resuming the routine. “I wake up and all over again. This when I sleep. I had never experienced such a great happiness … And instead of the fullness, I was affronted with the greatest sadness I have ever felt, from those that come from the bottom of the soul.”

Despite the pain, Tati also praised the partnership with her husband, with whom she faced childbirth even in the face of mourning. “Bruno and I really formed the best duo in the world. I just confirmed it in the hours of labor when we, hand in hand, between one contraction and another, looked and said we could resignify it all together. And we got it.”

In another stretch, she remembered how much her son was part of the couple’s life even before he was born. “Anyone who follows me knows that Rael already existed before being born. It’s too hurt to think that our first date was also our farewell. But it was the most full of love I could wish at that moment.”

The journalist’s team reported at the time that the moment had been lived with “love, courage and deep pain.” Even in the face of tragedy, Tati chose to divide his experience with the public as a way of honoring his son and showing that the pain of gestational loss also needs to be welcomed.
