Son of Marisa Monte displays board and participates in collective exhibition in Rio

Discreet and increasingly present in the art scene, Mano Wladimir, the firstborn of Marisa Monte with the musician Pedro Bernardes, is increasingly in the universe of art. At the age of 22, the young man is a design student and has stood out for his creations in the fine arts, with participation in the Collective Embrace Collective Show, at Lanchonete Lanchonete Cultural Space, in Gamboa, central Rio de Janeiro.

“I put my face in the exhibition. Come see,” Mano wrote by publicizing his self -portrait included in the show, which brings together works by 373 artists. He defines himself as a “digital/traditional artist” in the profile he keeps open on Instagram, dedicated exclusively to his drawings and paintings. The personal profile, on the other hand, remains restricted – a reserve trace that resembles the posture of the famous mother.

In addition to university education, Mano has been improving on the outside with courses linked to his area. One of them was held at the Parque Lage School of Visual Arts, a carioca reference in the formation of artists. And the works have already begun to surrender: by 2023, he signed the illustrations of the book by cardiologist Ludhmila Hajjar.

The connection with art also appears in music. Despite not pursuing a career as a singer or instrumentalist, Mano participated in the composition of “Boitatá”, track from Adriana’s latest album – children’s project by singer Adriana Calcanhotto. The song was written in partnership with Marisa Monte and Arnaldo Antunes.

Mano’s artistic vein also comes from generations: he is great -grandson of modernist architect Sergio Bernardes, considered one of the most important names of Brazilian architecture in the 20th century.
