Diego Alemão, winner of “Big Brother Brasil 7”, decided to challenge an opponent publicly for the ring. At 44, the former BBB announced that he will face Aceino Popó Freitas in a programmed fight for the coming months. The challenge has been launched, and German guarantees that it will not climb the ring without training. “He will have to look in the eye and respect me,” he said.
Popó, now 48, has four world titles in professional boxing and a recent history of celebrity wins. In May, the Bahian knocked out actor Duda Nagle during the Fight Music Show event.
Last year, he defeated Kleber Bambam, champion of the first edition of “BBB”, in just 36 seconds of the first round. Already in 2022, he had a balanced fight against Whindersson Nunes, who ended up drawing after decisions of the referee who favored the continuity of the humorist in the fight.
Despite Popó’s respect curriculum, German is not intimidated. He said he will have six months to train before the confrontation, which, he said, will be enough to balance the dispute. “I will prepare with everything I have. I do not enter this for joke,” he said.
The dispute has no definite date or place yet, but is already beginning to move the universe of celebrity fighting fans – format that has been gaining more popularity in Brazil. Popó itself has been consolidated as one of the main attractions of the genre, bringing together fans in combat that mixes sport and entertainment.
So far, Popó has not publicly commented on the challenge made by Diego German.
