Mariana Rios announces that the son will be called Palo; Understand origin and meaning of the name

Mariana Rios already has a name chosen for her first child. The actress announced, during participation in the SAIA Justa (GNT) program on Wednesday (13), that the baby will be called Palo.

The name, of Spanish origin, means strength, resistance and resilience – reference to the trunk of trees, which grows up, creates roots and bears fruit.

The announcement came in a moment of excitement for the artist, who awaits the baby next to economist Juca Diniz. “When the maternal instinct awakes, the feeling is intense and deep. It looks like a lioness. I want it to happen, I wish. My soul desires, my body needs. It’s something that runs away from explanations,” he said on the show.

Pregnancy is celebrated by Mariana as a personal and spiritual victory. By 2020, she faced a retained abortion – when the fetus’s development ceases, but the body does not expel the tissues of pregnancy.

The actress recalls that she received the news directly from the doctor: “The little heart was not beating anymore.” From there, he had to decide how to deal with the situation. “The pain was already inside me, but life was no longer there. I started thinking what I could do for me, my body, my body.”

Mariana announced Palo’s pregnancy in June this year, on social networks, where she has been sharing with followers the journey. It describes the experience as “a roller coaster of emotions and desires”, but marked by hope and renewal.

The relationship with Juca Diniz was publicly assumed in October 2023, when the couple published romantic photos in Paris. In addition to an economist and athlete of Triathlo, Juca is a grandson and heir to Abílio Diniz, founder of the Pão de Açúcar Group, and son of businesswoman Ana Maria Diniz.
