THE Alexandros Papandreouthe Sunday 10 Aprilvisits the Elassonafor another delicious bbq story.
In Elassona, a predominantly livestock province, where everyone claims the title of “best roaster”, Alexander meets Vassilis, Raphael and Dimitris, rolls up his sleeves and engages in hard livestock work. Their reward for hard work? A magical place with river and bridge and juicy “Lamb Chops with Garlic Lemon and Spices”which are cooked on the spot in the outdoor bbq they set up.
The food is accompanied by song and dance by a traditional local orchestra.
Then, Alexander goes to the village of Tsaritsani, where with a local team he runs on a mountain run on the mountain trails of the area.
At the end of the route, a great company awaits them but also enjoyable “Wrapped Skewers with Mustard Sauce” next to the Elassonitis river.
In the end, together with the locals, in an amazing landscape, near the village of Drymos, they make a paragliding flight “rather than five”, an activity that excites Alexander.
