‘Doctor Strange’ Actress and Husband Convicted of Sexual Assault

Actress Zara Phythian, 38, and her husband, Victor Marke, 59, were found guilty of sexually abusing a minor and are expected to be sentenced on May 16. According to Metro and BBC, the couple began abusing the victim when she was 13 years old.

Phythian and Marke run a martial arts academy and commit the crimes once or twice a month, threatening the victim – who has not been named – not to report them. The first abuse would have happened in the establishment, when the actress gave an alcoholic drink to the young woman and asked if she would like to play “truth or dare”.

According to reports heard by the jury, the actress, who participated in “Doctor Strange” (2016), would have then started performing oral sex on her husband and “challenged” the girl to join her. In her testimony, the victim stated that she had suffered this type of violence about 20 times over the years.

She also described a tattoo that the actress has in an intimate region of the body and said that the couple even filmed some of the sexual activities practiced by her. The incidents would have occurred between 2005 and 2008.

Phythian and Marke were found guilty of 14 counts. The actress’ husband has yet to answer for four charges against another young woman, whom he allegedly abused between 2002 and 2003, when she was around 15 years old. The judge in the case, Mark Watson, said the two must undergo “a considerable period of custody”.
