How is the hotel where Elon Musk had lunch with Bolsonaro

by

On his lightning tour of Brazil, Elon Musk, 50, had lunch with President Jair Bolsonaro, ministers and businessmen in one of the most discreet and sophisticated hotels in the country. Designed by architect Isay Weinfeld, Fasano Boa Vista is located in Porto Feliz, a city 100 kilometers from the capital of São Paulo, and was included in the most recent list of the best accommodations in the world, prepared by the prestigious magazine Travel and Leisure.

The restaurant where Musk had lunch, seated between Bolsonaro and banker André Esteves, is based on the locavore movement, in which food is produced within walking distance of where it will be consumed. The hotel’s staff harvest daily fruits, vegetables and herbs from the farm to use in their dishes.

The menu served to the tech billionaire included filet mignon medallions and parmesan risotto, with tiramisu for dessert. The richest man in the world, Musk has a fortune valued at US$ 263 billion and did not plan to spend more than a few hours in the country, where he came at the invitation of the Minister of Communications, Fabio Faria.

If the stay had been a little longer, Musk would have had time to enjoy the perks that the hotel offers: infinity pool, spa, tennis court, golf course, horseback riding center and suites up to 180 m². They have two floors, three balconies, a fireplace and oversized beds with 300-thread-count Egyptian cotton sheets and goose-down pillows (a classic in luxury hotels).

The daily rates start at R$11,000 – nothing that Musk, South African magnate owner of Tesla, Space X and candidate for owner of Twitter, was missing. He landed in Brazil in his Gulfstream jet, valued at US$ 66 million.
