An ECDC graph showing the vaccination rates of the adult population in the EU Member States and the deaths per million inhabitants over a 14-day period has been published by the Commission.
As we can see in the graph, the vast majority of countries with high vaccination coverage (over 80%) count fewer deaths while in contrast, countries with vaccination rates below 70% record, in most cases, even a three-digit death toll.
Typical is the example of Ireland, the country which precedes adult vaccinations, with this percentage reaching 93% and the death rate per million not exceeding 15. At similar levels the number of deaths per million and in Other countries at the top of vaccination coverage: Portugal 92% with 10 deaths per million, Denmark with 89% with 10 deaths per million and Spain with just 4 deaths per million.
However, in the tailings countries of the vaccination rankings, the death toll is almost “red”: In Bulgaria, with 29% of adults fully vaccinated, the death toll per million reaches 325, while one can not overlook the example of Romania where Only 43% of vaccinated adults, the death toll is high, with 267 recorded over a 14-day period
