All adult citizens of Greece will be able to officially book their appointment for the third dose of the coronavirus vaccine three months after the second.
The possibility of granting a limit of three months was announced on Friday afternoon, 03.12.2021, during the briefing of the Ministry of Health on the course of the coronary pandemic in Greece.
It was mentioned in the information that from midnight – and gradually until dawn – the platform was to be open for everyone, however this is finally done and earlier.
As announced by the Secretary General of Primary Health Marios Themistokleous, the national vaccination committee, taking into account all the data, concludes the administration of the third booster dose 3 months after the completion of the vaccination for all adults aged 18 and over.
The commission’s decision, Mr Themistocleous said, was based on the view that there should be as much protection as possible against vaccination as the micron mutation seems to be of increasing concern not only to scientists but also to society.
The goal, as Mr. Themistocleous said, is to vaccinate as many people as possible by January, that is, all those who had the initial vaccination last September.
