The new cases of coronavirus in the country amount to 44,775, showing a 24% increase compared to the previous week, according to the weekly report of the EODY.
97 patients are estimated to have died while 79 are hospitalized with intubation.

In the reporting week, 44,775 cases of COVID-19 were recorded (4,292 per million population: 24% weekly change) of which reinfections account for 26% of infections.
The total number of infections since the beginning of the pandemic amounts to 4,920,192 of which 52.0% are women.
𝑅𝑡 for the territory based on cases is estimated at 0.98 (95% CI: 0.79 – 1.07).
The total number of admissions to the territory’s hospitals in the reference week was 819 patients (7-month period: 117, 0% weekly change), while the total number of discharges amounted to 715 patients (7-month period: 102, – 5% weekly change).
The number of intubated patients by the end of the reference week is 79 (63.3% men) with a median age of 70 years and 96.2% having an underlying disease and/or age of 70 years or older.
In the reference week, 97 deaths of COVID-19 patients were recorded (9 per million population: -16% weekly change) of which 27 (28%) died after at least 29 days from the date of laboratory confirmation of the COVID-19 infection, while since the beginning of the epidemic, a total of 33,111 deaths have been recorded, with 96.0% having an underlying disease and/or age 70 years or older.
