Brazil recorded, this Friday (7), 90 deaths from Covid and 7,149 cases of the disease. As a result, the country has lost 686,849 lives and 34,757,257 people infected with Sars-CoV-2 since the beginning of the pandemic.
The moving average of deaths is now 107 per day. In comparison with the data of two weeks ago, the average rose 76%, which indicates an uptrend for the fourth day in a row, after a period of 78 days of decline or stability. The moving average of cases is at 6,015 per day (9% reduction compared to 14 days ago).
The uptrend is verified when there is a variation greater than 15% in a period of 14 days. The downward movement, in turn, occurs when the negative variation exceeds 15%.
The country data, collected up to 8 pm, are the result of collaboration between Sheet, UOL, O Estado de S. Paulo, Extra, O Globo and G1 to gather and publish figures related to the coronavirus pandemic. The information is collected by the consortium of press vehicles daily with the State Health Departments.
In all, 181,781,446 people received at least the first dose of a vaccine against Covid in Brazil. Adding the single doses of Janssen vaccine, there are 170,977,254 people with both doses or with one dose of Janssen vaccine.
Thus, the country already has 84.62% of the population with the 1st dose and 79.59% of Brazilians with two doses or one dose of the Janssen vaccine.
So far, 104,693,922 people have taken the third dose, and 33,999,239 the fourth.
The initiative of the consortium of press vehicles occurred in response to the attitudes of the Jair Bolsonaro (PL) government, which threatened to withhold data, delayed newsletters about the disease and took information from the air, with the interruption of the disclosure of the totals of cases and deaths.
