As far as the coronavirus pandemic is concerned, we are in a leveling off of cases, the professor said

The assistant professor of epidemiology spoke to ERT about the cases of coronavirus and flu and the general situation in our country. Gikas Majorkinis who mentioned that according to the epidemiological data we are past the peak of influenza and are on a downward trend.

“Of course we should be cautious because many times it oscillates and the descent is not continuous. We are certainly in a better phase than we were two weeks ago” said the professor.

As far as the coronavirus pandemic is concerned, we are in a leveling off of cases.

“Influenza we will not see a leveling off, the descent will begin, if it has already started by the end of February it will be completed. That is, earlier than we expected.” he said.

Mr. Majorkinis spoke on the show (Two in One) on ERT1 and about the benefits of vaccination, saying that both flu and corona vaccines have been tested and we have not seen side effects, so citizens should be vaccinated.

Regarding the mutations showed up reassuring stressing that we didn’t see anything with the Centaur mutation. We don’t have enough data on the Kraken, but in the countries where the health system prevailed, it didn’t seem to be under pressure.

In closing, Professor Majorkinis assessed that what is happening in China will not affect our country.
