Intensive care units are full in many parts of the country and especially in Northern Greece, as hospital admissions are increasing. All ICUs in Thessaloniki are suffocatingly full, while the vigil tonight at “Papanikolaou” started with zero beds.

In fact, until 6 in the afternoon, about 25 imports were made. According to the doctors, 4 people are intubated outside the ICU, while 8 more are waiting to be intubated.

At the same time, 9 more intensive care units are being opened with doctors from Athens. According to doctors in Thessaloniki, almost 100% of intubated people are unvaccinated.

8 children and 3 pregnant women are being treated for coronavirus in Ippokratio. According to official data in October this year, patients with coronavirus in Hippocrates were twice as many as in October 2020.

As stated by the President of the Employees of the hospital Christos Tzelepis, “the war continues. We live in moments of last November. We had a very difficult vigil. About 70 imports positive and suspicious. The unit is always full and we have 4 cases waiting outside the operating rooms. “

At 28 hospitals of Macedonia and Thrace 1048 patients with coronavirus are hospitalized in single beds and 159 in ICU.

In Volos, also the hospital can not accept other incidents. As the President of the Hospital Doctors of Magnesia characteristically said, “the hospital has collapsed and some people are afraid to say so. “Yesterday, he was a doctor for 110 patients.”

Yesterday, doctors battled a 70-year-old unvaccinated woman, who fainted in the hallway, refusing to be intubated. With the intervention of the prosecutor, however, she was intubated and her condition is stable.

There are, however, 5 cases of patients who were intubated outside the ICU, as there is no bed or sample.

Meanwhile, SOS also broadcasts the general hospital of Larissa which has full ICU beds.

“On Sunday I served a patient in Sismanogleio and today we intubated a 50-year-old man. “He was unvaccinated,” said the Director of the First Pathology Clinic at the General Hospital of Larissa.

As of tomorrow, 23 beds will open at the University Hospital of Larissa, but even these are not enough.

Same picture in Patras.

The cases are recorded a new record every day in Achaia, with the current ones reaching 242, while at the moment more than 150 people are being treated.

Yesterday’s vigil in Patras was particularly difficult after a long time at the hospital of Agios Andreas. More than 40 were coronavirus patients who arrived at the hospital. Of these, 17 were admitted to the coronavirus clinic of which 14 were unvaccinated.

“80-85% is occupied by our unvaccinated fellow citizens who suffer severely,” explained the head of the Covid Clinic at the Rio hospital.

Respectively, Attica remains in the “red” with 1,455 cases today and hospitals constantly filling up.

According to his report skai.gr, at the People’s Hospital last week, one shift was worse than the other. There are no beds available and especially in Pathology several patients were on ranches and stretchers in the corridors.

It is worth noting that several hospital beds have been used for patients with coronavirus, leaving no room for patients with other diseases or emergencies.

The medical and nursing staff also struggles daily to care for as many patients as possible.
