Mônica Bergamo: PTB asks that Justice bar vaccination against Covid in schools in SP

The São Paulo directory of the PTB has filed a preliminary injunction with the São Paulo Court of Justice requesting the end of the vaccination campaign against Covid-19 in schools. Contrary to immunization, the direction of the legend says that the campaign promoted by the João Doria government can generate “persecution of parents” of children and adolescents.

The PTB has filed several lawsuits against vaccination. In one of them, in which it questioned the right of the state of SP to charge the immunization card of students, the acronym was considered without legitimacy for the election. In the decision, Judge Carmen Cristina Fernandez Teijeiro e Oliveira warned of “excessive judicialization” by parties.

“Without anyone being responsible for the effects of the vaccine and studies for medium and long-term effects being absent, the obligation of vaccination and persecution of parents affronts the guaranteed rights”, says the president of the PTB in São Paulo, Bolsonarista businessman Otávio Fakhoury.

AUTHORIZE

The campaign in schools in the state of São Paulo should take place until February 25th. During the application of doses, there will be no need for the presence of parents or guardians. They, however, must sign an agreement.

Last week, the PTB São Paulo directory issued guidance for leaders and affiliates in municipal and state elective positions to take a stand against the adoption of the Covid-19 vaccine passport.

The resolution also guides the party’s cadres to promote public hearings to understand “the popular will” and legal discussions on the subject. “It is always important to remember that the position of the PTB-SP is not against vaccination, but against its mandatory nature in the absence of fundamental guarantees and individual freedoms guaranteed by the Federal Constitution”, says the caption.

The governor of São Paulo, João Doria (PSDB), and the mayor of the capital, Ricardo Nunes (MDB), attended the 40th birthday party of the president of the PSDB in the city of São Paulo, Fernando Alfredo. The celebration was held last Friday (18), at Bar Brahma, in the central region of the capital.
