Vaccines are one of the greatest achievements of humanity. As EDY points out, for the last 50 years, thanks to the vaccination with basic vaccines, at least 154 million lives have been saved, equivalent to 6 lives a minute, every day, for five decades. During this time, vaccination helped improve baby survival by 40% worldwide, with more children than ever in human history being able to enjoy their first birthday. It is estimated that 60% of people who have been saved thanks to the vaccines owe their salvation exclusively to the measles vaccine.

On the contrary, EDYS says, non -vaccination, but also delay in vaccination, creates pockets of unemployment or free vaccinations, which favors the circulation and transmission of contagious diseases. Thus, the health of the unemployment and the free vaccinations (the event) and in particular of vulnerable people with an increased risk of serious complications or even death is at risk. These include people who cannot be vaccinated by age (such as infants who have not reached the age required for vaccination) or medical contraindications (such as people with severe chronic diseases or immunosuppression). Particularly important is the protection against pregnant women, through their early vaccination, to prevent serious complications and deaths of both their own and their future infants.
