After a three-year hiatus, Glastonbury returns this weekend.

Glastonbury 2022 is popular with music lovers from all over the world and is a mecca for melody, art and fun.

From the youngest to the oldest, all age groups gather at Worthy Farm to enjoy Billy Eiley, Sam Fender, Kendrick Lamar, Heim and more.

An estimated 200,000 people take part in Glastonbury each year, which means safety is a top priority.

This is especially true when children attend the festival.

Glastonbury posted some tips for family safety during the festival to help parents and other participants.

go to the festival

Getting to the festival is the first port of call, and Glastonbury has some important information for parents. Children under 12 years of age enter for free if they are accompanied by an adult ticket holder, but the DNI is worth if they are over 12 years of age.

On Wednesday, June 22, 2022 (at the start of the festival), everyone over the age of 13 must register and purchase a full ticket.

If you want to participate in the festival, you must be accompanied by a person under 16 years of age and over 18 years of age.

Tips for toddlers and children

Glastonbury advises parents to bring sunscreen, raincoats and sun-protective hats.

Sturdy and cozy rugs are essential to sit on during the day and keep children warm at night. It is also recommended to place a plastic sheet under it to dry.

Parents can transport baby strollers, buggy chairs, bike trailers, or other makeshift vehicles as needed. This makes it easier to move around, but the spacious festival venue helps ease foot fatigue.

Bring a well-sealed bucket to avoid long walks to the bathroom at night.

“First aid kits (salvage, cast, abalone, anti-gum, carpol, etc.) are essential,” says Glastonbury.

missing children

Glastonbury advised his parents not to separate their children, saying, “Don’t go with a stranger or someone without telling them in advance.”

If they get lost, ask the security guards and police, the radio festival staff, another adult with children, or one of the information points or market gates for help.

At the festival, it is very convenient for children to have their parents’ mobile phone numbers by writing with a marker pen. However, please do not write the name.

If you don’t have a phone, just name the area you’re camping in and the staff will assist you.

The festival also says:

“If you lose a child, ask the press or festival officials for advice. Children are looked after at Kitzfield until 8 p.m.
