The return of the gothic beauty (Photo: Isamaya Beauty)

You may not know the name Isamaya Ffrench, but all A-listers do.

She is a renowned makeup artist with many faces like Zendaya, Kate Moss, and Rihanna, and now she creates her own beauty line.

She previously showed that luxury perfume brand Byredo was working with her when she entered the makeup field and knew a thing or two about the making of the concept.

Isamaya Beauty is a direct roll of Pillow Talks and Glitter and is now used to landing on the shelves. The first drop of the product, called “Industrial”, is a dark, rough and gothic atmosphere.

Products don’t come cheap, so it’s a good idea to check out your three-day weekend break at 15 Bateman Street in Soho, London tomorrow before you invest.

Before it officially launches at Selfridges on July 4, you can buy the product and get your hands dirty with samples before someone else buys it.

You can try five products: eyeshadow palette, lip gloss, mascara, serum, and brow gel, but the pop-ups also have limited-edition items like T-shirts and jewelry.

Isamaya says, “I don’t want to tell people how they should look.

“It’s about using makeup to take back who you are and not be something else.

“Industrial is a strong and difficult concept, both visually and physically.

“Leather and latex, earrings and rubber, flesh, strength and self-control, for makeup lovers who don’t want to fit in.”

Isamia wants to “inspire” people, attract those who are on the edge of the world of makeup and show that “there are other ways to approach beauty” outside of the conventional.

What did you think of the product?

I was able to sample two items from Industrial Drop before lining them up on the shelves tomorrow.

First, we tried Lip Rack, a “maximum strengthening” lip serum that costs £32.

You might be nervous about this dark purple-brown shade, but it’s so sheer that it actually gives off the most subtle tones.

I wasn’t sure about maximizing, but I felt it stick to my lips, giving it a slightly off-putting sheen.

But somehow it’s not greasy, so if you have a nourishing serum in your mood, you’ll love its texture.

Next, I tried an eyeshadow palette called Industrial Color Pigment, which is the main character of this line. It sells for £95.

It’s an expensive price tag, but it’s becoming more and more common in luxury spaces – the days of thinking 40lbs of pallets was too much are over.

Various textures (Photo: Isama and Beauty)

When it comes to formulas, there are combinations of textures, some shades are fully colored, some are more metallic, some are shimmery, and some are more sheer.

Creates a fun palette to play with and allows for a wide range of styles.
