(News Bulletin 247) – Neoen announced Monday the success of its capital increase of 750 million euros which should enable it to increase its installed capacities and intensify its investments in storage.

The independent French producer of renewable energies indicates that the operation – launched in an “extremely buoyant” context for the sector – has received the support of its historical shareholders (Impala, FSP and Bpifrance) and benefited from the participation of investors already present in the capital, as well as that of new entrants.

Total demand reached 59.6 million new shares, ie a subscription rate of approximately 162%, with an irreducible subscription rate of approximately 98%.

Following the operation, Impala, FSP and Bpifrance will respectively hold 42.2%, 6.9% and 4.4% of the capital, with a free float increased to 45.1% of the capital.

This capital increase will strengthen the company’s balance sheet by giving it the means to further accelerate its growth to aim for an installed capacity of more than 10 GW in 2025, an increase of 50%.

The transaction will also allow it to extend its storage capacities, in particular by investing in batteries with longer autonomy.

Listed on the Paris Stock Exchange, the Neoen title rose by 0.2% on Monday in the first exchanges.
