(News Bulletin 247) – The stock rose nearly 2%, benefiting from several positive analyses.
Stifel reiterates its ‘buy’ recommendation on Air Liquide with a price target raised from 160 to 178 euros, in the wake of higher earnings estimates for the French supplier of gas for industry and health.
The broker expects comparable growth in gas activity, probably around 4% in the first quarter. ‘It might only be stable in Europe, but thanks to strong price increases, very solid in the Americas,’ he says.
Stifel raises its medium-term comparable growth assumptions, and anticipates ongoing margin expansion based on pricing power in the industrial merchant segment and on cost measures.
UBS reiterates for its part its advice to buy the title with a target of 167 E. ‘For the 1st quarter of 2023: all eyes are on prices’ indicates the analysis office.
‘For the Q1 2023 forecast, we expect a price increase of +13% year-on-year, which is well above Visible Alpha’s +9% forecast. We are 7% ahead of the EBIT forecast for the fiscal year 2023 ‘adds UBS.
