(News Bulletin 247) – BAE Systems and Iveco Defense Vehicles (IDV) announce that their amphibious combat vehicle (ACV) has taken its first steps in an international trade fair during the FEINDEF defense and security exhibition which takes place takes place in Madrid from 17 to 19 May.

The ACV family of vehicles, the result of a strategic partnership between BAE Systems and IDV, notably supports the expeditionary mobility of the United States Marine Corps (USMC).

BAE specifies that the production lines of this amphibious combat vehicle are currently running ‘at full speed’.

‘This is the first time the amphibious combat vehicle has been showcased outside of the United States, and it’s a source of pride that it’s here in Spain, a longtime ally of the United States and the ‘NATO,’ said Garrett Lacaillade, vice president of amphibious programs at BAE Systems.

“Together, BAE Systems and IDV are proud to present this critical next-generation amphibious capability. […] We are ready to respond to any request for international customization to ensure the optimal deployment of amphibious vehicles within the Spanish and European defense system,” commented Nazario Bianchini, Sales Manager at IDV.
