(News Bulletin 247) – BMW is presenting a new version, specially developed for the Chinese market, of the BMW 5 Series Sedan and BMW i5.
‘Adapted in many details to the specific requirements of the Chinese target groups, the versions of the new business sedan have an extended wheelbase and distinctive proportions’, indicates the manufacturer, which refers to ‘particularly generous comfort in the rear’ and ‘ exclusive equipment.
For the first time, the BMW 5 Series Sedan for China will be offered with combustion engines but also with a fully electric model in the form of the BMW i5.
These models are also distinguished in particular by their curved BMW display and China-specific digital services.
Recall that the manufacturer had already sold some 530,000 Series 5 vehicles between 2020 and 2022.
‘In total, about two million units have been sold since the start of local production in China’, underlines the manufacturer.
The new models will be produced exclusively for the Chinese market at the Dadong plant operated in Shenyang by joint venture BMW Brilliance Automotive Ltd.
