(News Bulletin 247) – Barclays reaffirms its recommendation to ‘weight online’ on Crédit Agricole while raising its price target by 3% to 12.4 euros, in the wake of a similar increase in its net profit forecast underlying for 2025.
The broker explains that this increase largely reflects the planned acquisition of Degroof Petercam, announced by the French bank on the sidelines of the publication of its second quarter results last week.
If it considers the results of Crédit Agricole positively, Barclays nevertheless shows a preference for its peers BNP Paribas and Société Générale, both advised to ‘overweight’, considering that they ‘offer prospects of a high return of capital’.
