(News Bulletin 247) – The graphics processor specialist reaches a new historic record on the stock market, hailed for its publication above expectations.

It’s a day of celebration today on the markets thanks to Nvidia which delighted the markets after an extraordinary publication. The graphics processor giant is currently up 14.5% to $762.40 this Thursday on Wall Street, after hitting an absolute high of $775.

The markets welcome the excellent publication of the American company. The graphics chip giant once again amazed investors with quarterly results above expectations, and announced prospects that were also appreciated by the markets.

The group dominates the market for graphics chips essential for generating advanced tasks and applications in artificial intelligence. Microsoft and Google are therefore equipping themselves with thousands or even tens of thousands of Nvidia A100 graphics processors (GPUs) in their data centers to develop and train their conversational robots, ChatGPT and Bard, respectively.

“Accelerated computing and generative AI have reached a tipping point. Demand is exploding across businesses, industries and nations around the world,” said Jensen Huang, founder and CEO of Nvidia.

Fourth world capitalization

The results published by Nvidia “confirm that the AI revolution is only just beginning and has not reached its peak,” say Wedbush analysts. “It is difficult to doubt it after these figures and this conference call,” they continue.

Thanks to this jump in the title, Nvidia gains at this stage $245 billion in capitalization compared to Wednesday evening ($1,666 billion). This allows it to regain the foot of the podium of the largest global capitalizations, behind Microsoft, Apple and Saudi Aramco. Above all, Nivida dethrones Meta which had gained $200 billion in capitalization in one session at the beginning of February. Investors then welcomed the good results of Mark Zuckerberg’s group and the distribution of a dividend for the first time.

The indices are also euphoric, including the Nasdaq, the flagship index of technology stocks, which jumped 2.20%. In Paris, records fell throughout the session, with the CAC 40 having just registered a new high at 7,922.55 points shortly before 4:00 p.m.
