(Reuters) – La Française des Jeux reported a 5% increase in its like-for-like revenue in the first half on Thursday, driven in particular by a sharp rise in digital sales.

The gambling and gaming specialist posted a turnover of 1.43 billion euros over the first six months of the year, compared to 1.29 billion euros in 2023.

“The second quarter confirmed the positive trend seen at the start of the year, with growth in our business supported by our network of points of sale and by very strong momentum in digital games, which now represent 15% of the Group’s turnover,” said Stéphane Pallez, the group’s Chairman and CEO, in a press release.

The company also posted earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA) of 370 million euros, an increase of 28% compared to the first half of 2023.

FDJ confirms its forecasts for 2024, namely a growth in the group’s turnover of around 8%.
