NEW DELHI (Reuters) – Gautam Adani, founder of Indian conglomerate Adani, said on Saturday his group was committed to meeting the highest international standards.
This is his first public reaction to the corruption accusations brought against him by the American authorities.
“Less than two weeks ago, we were faced with a series of allegations from the United States about compliance by Adani Green Energy. This is not the first time we face such challenges,” Gautam Adani said in a speech in Jaipur, northern India.
“What I can tell you is that every attack makes us stronger and every obstacle turns into a springboard towards an even more resilient Adani Group,” he added.
“In today’s world, negativity spreads faster than facts and, while we are engaged in legal proceedings, I want to confirm to you our absolute commitment to respecting international standards,” he said. he continued, without providing details.
