From Monday 24 to Tuesday 31 May 2022 and in the context of the planning of international collaborations by GEETHA, co-training INVITEX – LIVEX (Invitation to an Exercise – Live Exercise) of Armed Forces Units was conducted with the Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron 11 (HSC-11) of the USS HARRY S. TRUMAN of the USA, at the Elefsina Air Base and in the area of ​​Atalanta.

The Hellenic Armed Forces participated with 1 Helicopter (E / P) AS-332C1 Super Puma of the 384th Search and Rescue Squadron, 2 F-16 Fighter Aircraft of the 347th Squadron, as well as with personnel of the 31st Squadron of Search and Rescue Operations of the newly established Special Command War of GEETHA. From the USA, 2 MH-60S units participated, as well as HSC-11 personnel.

The co-training included the design and execution of Search and Rescue Missions, as well as survival items in hostile environments, and was conducted under the Greece-US Mutual Defense Cooperation Agreement (MDCA) under the auspices of the MDCA. operational readiness, combat capability and interoperability of participants.
