The special police operations continued with undiminished intensity, during the period from Monday 6 June until yesterday Monday 13 June 2022, with the aim of dealing with and suppressing illegal activities in the Center of Athens.
The police operations, which took place in various areas of downtown Athens, involved police officers from various Services (Attica Foreigners Directorate, Athens Police Directorate / Patrol Sub-Directorate, Attica Security Directorate / OPKE, ACTION, Attica Immediate Action Directorate , Attica Traffic Directorate, Attica Police Operations Directorate, Aerial Security Service).
In this context, 2,660 people were brought in, including 126 foreigners, who lacked the necessary documents and were taken to PRO.KE.KA. Amygdalezas, while in addition 796 people were arrested, of which 97 for drugs.
