It is noted that today Ankara does not have similar F-16 technology with the Turkish president exerting pressure on the US to upgrade existing Turkish fighters and buy new ones.

Their maiden flight from Tanagra, as part of the first phase of the Viper version of the Air Force F-16 aircraft upgrade program, took place yesterday, Wednesday and today, the first two state-of-the-art fighter jets located at the premises of the Hellenic Aviation Industry (the prototype is already flying to the USA). The program has been undertaken by the Hellenic Aviation Industry and the construction company Lockheed Martin.

Hellenic Aviation Industry will “shield” the Air Force with at least six upgraded F-16 Viper aircraft in 2022, providing a safe guarantee for its performance a total of 83 upgraded aircraft to be completed in 2027.

It is noted that today Ankara does not have a similar technology F-16, with Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan exerting, so far without result, pressure on the US to upgrade existing Turkish fighters and buy new ones.

Upgraded F-16 systems were tested during the test flight, who was crowned with complete success, giving the impetus for the smooth continuation of the work and the rest to upgrade the Air Force aircraft.
