“You will find a family here”: The moving dialogue of the Rector of AUTh with the Iranian excellent from Moria on SKAI 100.3

“You give us strength, your success shows that when we really want something we achieve it”, the Rector of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Nikos Papaioannou, stressed through SKAI 100.3 to Kouros Durmohamadi.

The “welcome” to Kouros Durmohammadi, the Iranian refugee who lived in the camp of Moria and excelled in the Panhellenic exams of 2022, was moved by the Rector of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Nikos Papaioannou via SK radio.

The excellent young man and the Rector of AUTh had the opportunity to talk with Nikos Stravelakis during the radio Magazine.

“You give us strength, your success shows that when we really want something we achieve it. This is your great offer, the great image it gives to all young children and not only”, stressed the Rector of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Kouros Durmohamadi, Nikos Papaioannou.

“You will find a family to embrace you, you will find colleagues, teachers and students who will always be by your side,” she pointed out, adding that the university has structures to support the student at a wider level.

The Rector even assured Kouros that there will be help in finding a home, emphasizing that if he still wants to stay in a home clearly and there will be this possibility.

Mr. Papaioannou mentioned to Kouros that his idea for studying at the School of Electrical Engineering and Computers of your Aristotle University of Thessaloniki is a very good choice as you are considered one of the 10 best scientists in the world in the field of Informatics.

For his part, Kouros described that from a young age he had a dream to deal with computers and already knows some programming languages. Thus a school like that of Electrical Engineering and Computers would be a useful resource for its future.
