An unbelievable incident took place last night (29/6) at the entrance of the New Railway Station of Thessaloniki, when police officers of the Pedestrian Patrol Department arrested a 42-year-old man, who after first injuring a police officer during a check, was found in his possession. a small arsenal.

It all started at about 10.30 pm. when the police, while patrolling inside the Railway Station, located a man who was wandering in tension outside the entrance of the building that houses the OSE Station and was harassing passers-by, creating problems.

Seeing the situation, the police of the Pedestrian Patrol Department checked the person, whom he not only denied but then started cursing and verbally attacking the police. However, he did not stop there, as a pair of handcuffs suddenly came out of his purse, which he tried to pass to one of the police officers who was trying to conduct a search, but fortunately did not succeed.

The 42-year-old, after resisting his arrest even when other police officers arrived at the scene, giving blows with his hands and feet, was finally arrested with coordinated efforts.

The curious thing is that during the subsequent search, the detainee, who turned out to be homeless, was in possession of two large bags inside which were found and confiscated, among other things, three air pistols, six cartridges, gas canisters, a sum of money in the amount of 10,000. euros as well as a pair of metal handcuffs.

It should be noted that due to the injury suffered by one of the police officers, he went to a hospital on duty for preventive examinations, while a case file was formed against the arrested person and he will be taken to the prosecutor.
