Weekend weather: Where it will rain and where it will “hit” 39

In general, it will be clear weather the Weekend, however, temporary clouds and storms will occur in some areas. Specifically, on Saturday at noon and in the afternoon, temporary clouds will develop in places on the mainland, and in Epirus, Macedonia, as well as in the mountains of the rest of the mainland, rain and isolated storms will occur.

The winds will blow from north directions with intensity, in the Ionian 3 to 5 Beaufort and in the Aegean 6 to 7 Beaufort.

The temperature will rise slightly mainly in the west and will reach 38 to 39 on the mainland, 37 on the Ionian Islands and 33 to 35 degrees Celsius in the rest of Greece.

MACEDONIA, THRACE
Weather: Generally clear, but in the midday and afternoon hours in Macedonia, temporary clouds will develop and, mainly in the mountains, local rain and isolated storms will occur.
Winds: Variable 2 to 4 Beaufort and from the early evening in the east east northeast 4 to 6 Beaufort.
Temperature: From 20 to 37 degrees Celsius.

IONIAN ISLANDS, EPIRUS, WESTERN STEREA, WESTERN PELOPONNESE
Weather: Generally clear. Clouds will develop in the midday and afternoon hours in the continental areas and in Epirus and the mountainous areas of western Sterea and western Peloponnese, local showers and isolated storms will occur.
Winds: Northwest 2 to 4 and in the Ionian locally up to 5 Beaufort.
Temperature: From 20 to 38 to 39 degrees and on the islands from 23 to 36 to 37 degrees Celsius.

THESSALY, EASTERN CENTRAL, EASTERN PELOPONNESE
Weather: Generally clear. In the midday and afternoon hours, temporary clouds will develop in the continental areas and rain and short-term storms will occur in the mountains.
Winds: North northeast, in Thessaly and the Sporades 3 to 5 Beaufort and in the rest of the areas 4 to 6 Beaufort.
Temperature: From 22 to 37 and probably in places in Thessaly 38 to 39 degrees Celsius.

CYCLADES, CRETE
Weather: Clear.
Winds: North 5 to 7 Beaufort.
Temperature: From 21 to 31 and in southern Crete up to 35 degrees Celsius.

EASTERN AEGEAN ISLANDS – DODECANESE
Weather: Clear.
Winds: From north directions 6 to 7 Beaufort.
Temperature: From 22 to 35 degrees Celsius.

EUBOEA
Weather: Generally clear. Partly cloudy skies at noon and in the afternoon.
Winds: North 3 to 4 and south 5 and temporarily locally up to 6 Beaufort.
Temperature: From 23 to 37 degrees Celsius.

ATTICA
Weather: Generally sunny with occasional clouds in the afternoon.
Winds: North northeast 4 to 5 and in the east 6 Beaufort.
Temperature: From 25 to 37 degrees Celsius. In the east the maximum 2 to 3 degrees lower.

THESSALONIKI
Weather: Generally clear, but in the midday and afternoon hours temporary clouds will develop and, mainly in the mountains, local rains will occur.
Winds: Variable 2 to 4 Beaufort.
Temperature: From 22 to 35 degrees Celsius.

FORECAST FOR SUNDAY 03-07-2022

In general, the weather will be clear on Sunday as well. In the midday and afternoon hours, temporary clouds will develop in the northern continental areas and in Epirus, Thessaly and western and central Macedonia, there will be local rain and possibly isolated storms in the mountains.

The winds will blow from northerly directions 4 to 6 and in the Aegean 7 and temporarily locally 8 Beaufort.

The temperature will drop slightly in the east and south. In the west, central and north the maximum will reach 37 to 39 degrees Celsius, while in Attica, the eastern Peloponnese, the Cyclades and northern Crete it will be 3 to 4 degrees lower.
