On alert the authorities of the country raised, for the possibility of fires in the next 24 hours. Tomorrow Sunday there is a forecast of very high risk fire on scale 4 in:
· Attica & Kythira, Boeotia, Corinth, Argolis islands of the eastern Aegean
· regions of Evia, Achaia, Ilia, Messinia, Laconia, Arcadia
and high risk on scale 3 in many areas.
In this context, the leadership of the PS is meeting shortly with the local District Governors for measures (ban in forests – groves, increase in patrols, aerial patrols, etc.).

It is noted that in the battle to deal with forest fires they are almost thrown 200 European firefighters as part of the pre-positioning pilot project that started yesterday Friday.
Firefighters mainly young, up to 30 years old, from 6 countries namely Bulgaria, France, Germany, Norway, Romania and Finland will be based in Athens, Larissa and Tripoli for the months of July and August to assist in extinguishing forest fires with both pedestrian and motorized units.
