The little girl is being treated at the Children’s ICU of the University Hospital of Patras
Successfully completed the extubation of the 6-year-old who is hospitalized in the Children’s ICU of the PGNP. Doctors will monitor her closely for the next 24 hours and then begin the process of leaving the child from the ICU.
In the morning, the procedure had begun to wake up the 6-year-old who is hospitalized in the Children’s ICU of the University General Hospital of Patras and who had lost consciousness while swimming in the beach of Zacharos Ilia last wednesday.
We remind you that the little girl has come to Ilia, her parents’ place of origin, from Switzerland where she lives permanently with her parents and her sister. On Wednesday afternoon they had gone for a swim in Zaharo. While the little girl was enjoying the sea and the game at some point her mother realized that something had happened to her daughter. He ran and pulled the child out of the sea and luckily he knew first aid and gave her the kiss of life. Fortunately, the beach also had a lifeguard who reached her in a few minutes and provided her with life-saving assistance until the EKAV arrived with specialized personnel. She was initially transferred to the Krestena health center and then to the Pyrgos hospital where the little girl suffered a miscarriage. The doctors managed to revive her and after intubating her, they transferred her to the ICU of the PGNP.
