It was May 11, 2021 when the whole of Greece watched in shock the horrific death of Caroline Louise Crouch in Glyka Nera Attica. July 12, 2001 – May 11, 2021

The unfortunate Caroline was born on July 12, 2001 in a private hospital in Athens, but she was a British citizen. She went to Alonissos for the first time as a newborn, while she moved to the island permanently with her parents – Susan and David Crouch – in May 2003.

In an earlier interview with the British Daily Mail, her 79-year-old father David Crouch he had spoken proudly of his daughter who, he said, “was lost in such a cruel way at the beginning of a wonderful life”. The father had described his daughter as an active and charismatic creature.
