The Extortion Prosecution Department of the Attica Security Directorate investigated a case of attempted homicide against five people (four foreigners and one citizen), committed on 1-22-2022 outside a bakery in the area of ​​Voula.
According to the relevant announcement of ELAS, two of the perpetrators, a 42-year-old foreigner and a 34-year-old citizen, were arrested yesterday (13/7) in the morning as part of a coordinated police operation, while another perpetrator, a 35-year-old foreigner, is already in prison. Co-accused of the above are two more people.
A case file was filed against the defendants for attempted multiple homicide and dangerous bodily harm in the context of an established criminal organization, as well as for violation of the Weapons Law.
From the preliminary investigation of the Extortion Prosecution Department, it was established that the defendants formed a group with distinct roles, to go meet two of the victims, who were accompanied by three other people in a bakery in Voula, to discuss differences between them.
During the meeting they held, two of the defendants and two of the victims sat together at a table in the store, where they initially talked and then a fight ensued, with the participation of all the perpetrators, who, using firearms and a knife, injured the five victims and then fled in a car.
It is noted that three of the injured foreigners were taken to hospitals in a serious condition for their health, where they remained hospitalized for a long time.
In the investigations carried out, the 42-year-old arrested was found and seized: a pistol with a silencer and a magazine with 14 cartridges and a cartridge in its chamber, 132 cartridges, 3 pistol magazines, 2 knives, an axe, an electronic signal interference device (gps blocker), electronic device detector -tracking bugs, bulletproof vest, long gun binoculars, 2 portable radios and a tablet, 6 mobile phones, 3 phone connection packages, stem and sim card, 2 memory cards, usb stick, vehicle owned by him, which was used for performance of the above actions as well as the monetary amount of 10,750 euros.
A knife, a mobile phone and a taxi registration number were found in the possession of the 34-year-old arrested.
Those arrested, with the case filed against them, will be taken to the Criminal Prosecutor of Athens.
