The big fire in Penteli is ongoing amid strong winds.

The fire meteorologist Mr. Theodoros Giannaros announced in a post on Facebook that the forest fire in Penteli has reached bad proportions and that the workers are leaving the facilities at the National Observatory of Athens.

The forces of the Fire Department have been further strengthened as 105 firefighters are operating at the scene, including 28 Romanian firefighters, with 5 groups of walking departments, 30 vehicles, 11 aircraft, 5 helicopters, one of which acts as a coordinator, while assistance is provided by water OTAs and Construction machinery.

It is noted that the aerial means will drop from the air until 21.10 at night.
