Firefighters are fighting the flames continuously, as the wind direction changed on the front near the Pentelis Children’s Hospital and the fire approached the hospital. At this point, there are strong forces of the Fire Department making a titanic effort to limit the fire front, so that they manage not to pass the fire to the infrastructure of the hospital.

It is noted that the hospital has been evacuated some time ago and the transfer of the 36 children from the Pentelis Children’s Hospital has been completed. Twenty-one children were transferred to Agia Sofia and Aglaia Kyriakou Children’s hospitals and 15 were discharged. The operation was coordinated by the president of EKAV, Nikos Papaefstathiou.
