The institution of the Personal Doctor is a free provision for all citizens who for the first time will have a Health Advisor for treatment, prevention, diagnosis, treatment and guidance in serious health problems.
On Monday, August 1st, the registration platform opens Personal Physician for citizens who have reached the age of 16 in all regions of the country except the Attica and South Aegean Regions.
His institution Personal Physician is a free provision for all citizens who for the first time will have a Health Advisor for treatment, prevention, diagnosis, treatment and guidance in serious health problems.
The existing relations of the citizens with the doctors who attend them are not changed or hindered.
With the law 4931/2022 the Personal Doctor is the support of citizens in health matters. The citizen will turn to him when he has a health problem. He will be consulted. From him he will receive instructions, direction, referral for the next move in the Health System.
From prevention, updating his medical file, visiting for an examination, prescribing the necessary drugs, referral for tests for specialist doctors or for hospitalization when there is a need.
The personal physician will provide comprehensive and continuous care to the citizen in order to prevent diseases and promote health.
The citizen can freely choose to register with a Personal Doctor in the following ways:
1) through the personal physician registration platform (https://ehealth.gov.gr/p-rv/p), where entry is made with the taxisnet codes and the citizen’s AMKA.
2) in person at a P.F.Y health structure. or to a personal doctor, bringing with him, his AMKA and for simple demonstration, an identification document (e.g. Identity Card) or a photocopy.
The deadline for the registration of doctors in the Personal Doctor institution is August 5, 2022.
For the two regions of Attica and South Aegean the registration of citizens will start on 01/09/2022 and the registration of doctors is extended only for these two regions until 31/08/2022.
