Panhellenic 2022: University admission results announced

They were announced by the Ministry of Education the results for the admission of candidates in Tertiary Education, through nationwide GEL – EPAL exams and through the special category of candidates with serious illnesses as well as the results for the admission of candidates to Public IEK, through the parallel computerized report.

In a tweet immediately after the announcement of the results, the Minister of Education, Niki Kerameos, congratulates all the candidates and wishes them good results.

A) Results of candidates for the nationwide examinations for admission to Higher Education

Those interested will be able to be informed of the results of the nationwide examinations for admission to Higher Education. through the website of the Ministry https://results.it.minedu.gov.gr, typing:

a) their eight-digit code number and

b) the four initial letters of their personal details (Surname – First Name – Patronim – Matronim).

Also, the candidates who had registered in the special application of the Ministry of Education and Religious Affairs, through the Unified Digital Portal of Public Administration gov.gr, will receive the results of admission to the Success Department and by text message SMS to their mobile phone.

B) Results of candidates with serious conditions for admission to Higher Education

This year, for the first time, candidates suffering from serious illnesses submitted electronically, via the Internet, a Computerized Report for admission to Higher Education in the academic year 2022-2023, in the month of May instead of the month of September, in order for their results to be announced at the same time as the results of nationwide exams.

Candidates who participated in the process for admission to Higher Education with the special category of serious illnesses (5%) can be informed by name of the results on the website of the Ministry, https://results.it.minedu.gov.gr, if they enter the eight-digit code, the number and the four initial characters (Surname, First Name, Patronym, Middle Name). It is pointed out that the “candidate code number” is the one written in the 2022 computerized card of candidates suffering from serious illnesses.

It is noted that those of the candidates of the said category who also took part in the nationwide GEL and EPAL exams will be informed separately about their results by using the corresponding candidate code (nationwide exam code / serious illness candidate code)

C) Results of candidates for admission to the public IEK

Candidates for admission to the public IEK can connect to the website of the parallel computerized system (https://michanografiko-diek.it.minedu.gov.gr) with the codes of the pan-Hellenic courts and be informed of their result. At the same time, there will be a link on the same website with a list of successful candidates, which contains only the code of each candidate and their success details and not their name details.

The Ministry of Education and Religious Affairs provides information on the selection procedures for the admission of candidates to Higher Education, through nationwide GEL – EPAL exams and through the special category of candidates with serious illnesses as well as for the admission of candidates to Public IEK, through the parallel computerized report .

A) RESULTS OF THE NATIONAL EXAMINATIONS

A’1. The selection procedures in Higher Education concern graduates who participated in the 2022 GEL or EPAL nationwide exams:

i) full-time General High School, for the Departments and Schools of the Universities, the Supreme Ecclesiastical Academies, ASPAITE, the Higher Schools of Tourism Education, the Military and Police Schools, the Schools of the Fire, Merchant Navy and Coast Guard Academies.

ii) daily EPAL, for Departments and Schools of the Universities, ASPAITE, the Higher Schools of Tourism Education, the Higher Military Schools of Non-Commissioned Officers, the Schools of Policemen, Firemen, Coast Guard Cadets and the Schools of the Merchant Navy Academy.

iii) evening General High School, for Universities, Supreme Ecclesiastical Academies, ASPAITE, Higher Schools of Tourism Education and Schools of the Merchant Navy Academy.

iv) evening EPAL, for Universities, ASPAITE, Higher Schools of Tourism Education, and Schools of the Merchant Marine Academy.

A’2. Also, the selection procedures in Higher Education concern graduates, without a new examination in 2022, but with earlier participation in 2020 or 2021:

i) full-time General High School, for the Departments and Schools of the Universities, the Supreme Ecclesiastical Academies, ASPAITE, the Higher Schools of Tourism Education, the Military and Police Schools, the Schools of the Fire, Merchant Navy and Coast Guard Academies.

ii) daily EPAL, for the Universities, ASPAITE, Higher Schools of Tourism Education, Higher Military Schools of Non-Commissioned Officers, Schools of Policemen, Firefighters, Coast Guard Cadets and Schools of the Merchant Navy Academy.

The scores of the first and last admitted to each Department or School for each category are published. Also, comparative data is given for the years 2022 and 2021, for the categories of candidates, where the admission bases are proportionally comparable between the two years, as well as the statistics of the preferences of both the candidates and those successful in the national examinations of the year 2022.

At the same time, the results are sent electronically to the Directorates of Secondary Education, in order to be forwarded to the schools of their responsibility, so that statements of the successful candidates can be printed and posted in the High Schools. It is clarified that the statements that will be posted in the High Schools will only contain the code of each candidate and the details of his success and not his name details.

The total number of candidates for selection amounted to 73,405, of which 61,143 candidates through the GEL procedures and 12,262 candidates through the EPAL procedures.

A total of 61,682 GEL and EPAL candidates were admitted to the Universities, the Supreme Ecclesiastical Academies, the ASPAITE, the ASTE, the Military and Police Schools and the Academies of the Fire Service, the Merchant Navy and the Coast Guard.

Candidates and successful candidates details are listed in the attached table.

The online registration process will be announced with a new Press Release and detailed circular. The deadline and the registration process for the successful candidates in the Military and Police Schools, the Fire Academy and the Coast Guard Schools, the Merchant Marine Academies, as well as the Higher Schools of Tourism Education of Rhodes and Crete will be defined and announced by the Schools themselves.

B) RESULTS OF SERIOUS DISEASES

This year, for the first time, candidates suffering from serious illnesses submitted electronically, via the Internet, a Computerized Report for admission to Higher Education in the academic year 2022-2023, in the month of May instead of the month of September, in order for their results to be announced at the same time as the results of nationwide exams. In order to complete this process in a timely manner, the dismissal grades of the 3rd grade students of GEL, EPAL, ENEEGYL and EAE High Schools were officially retrieved from the YPAITH electronic platform myschool.

A total of 1,637 candidates took part in the Higher Education admission process, with the above special category, of which 1,524 were admitted.

The online registration process will be announced with a new Press Release and detailed circular.

C) RESULTS FOR PUBLIC IEK

The selection process concerns graduates of 2022 or older who participated in the 2022 nationwide exams and submitted a finalized parallel computerized transcript.

The score of the last entrant in each specialty offered at each Public IEK for each category of candidates (general/special) has been published. Lists of successful candidates of each category were sent electronically to the Public Employment Service (formerly O.A.E.D.) of the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs, the Ministry of Rural Development and Food and the Ministry of Tourism, in order to support the registration process in the respective IEKs. As regards the IEKs supervised by the Ministries of Education and Health, the process of registering and monitoring the registrations of the successful candidates through the PEGASOS Information System, to which these IEKs have access, has been prepared.

The total number of candidates with a finalized parallel computer program this year amounted to 20,432, of which 18,812 candidates are high school graduates of the 2021-2022 school year, while 1,620 are graduates of previous years. Also, 157 candidates were selected in the special category, while 20,275 were selected in the general category.

After the completion of the process of issuing results, the successful candidates of the computerized parallel exam are a total of 13,472. More specifically, 13,315 are successful in the general category and 157 in the special category.

The details of candidates and successful candidates per Ministry are listed in the attached table.

The supporting documents and the registration process have been announced on the parallel computer website (https://michanografiko-diek.it.minedu.gov.gr) for those successful in the Public IEK of the Ministry of Education and Religion, while the corresponding registration information for the DIEK supervision of the other Ministries will be announced separately by these Ministries.

The deadline for the registration of successful candidates in their IEK for the Public IEK of the Ministry of Education and Religion is from Thursday 1/9/2022 until Monday 12/9/2022.
