Robbery with dead and 2 injured in Kiklis: They were beaten with bats – 4 arrests

Deadly robbery with one dead and two injured, all Pakistani nationals, occurred in the early hours of Sunday, in a rural area Polykastro Kilkis, with the police having already moved to four arrests foreigners for involvement in the incident.

These are three men from Afghanistan and one from Syria (respectively 20, 23, 36 and 18 years old), against whom a case was filed and they are taken to the Kilkis district attorney.

According to the police, a four-member group of Pakistanis moving on foot in the area of ​​Mikrokastro received attack with wooden clubs and use of physical violence by a group of at least ten people. After removing 200 euros and a mobile phone, the perpetrators disappeared, leaving their victims covered in blood at the scene.

The young Pakistanis were taken to Kilkis General Hospital where one of them – aged 23 – succumbed to his injuries, while others two are hospitalized with injuries, out of danger.

Police officers from the Paionia Department immediately started a police search that led to the arrest of the four foreigners. According to information, they were identified by the victims, while eleven improvised wooden bats were seized from the scene of the attack.

According to police sources, the motive of the perpetrators appears to have been robbery. From the police investigations continue to identify the remaining perpetratorswhile, so far, it has not been clarified whether the victims were moving in the area, looking for ways to leave Greece through the northern border.
