“It is difficult to solve what happens to each family. However, what we do know is that this child was abused again at 11 and her brother, which goes to say that maybe this child was not in a protective environment for him – I say. I respect the pain of this family who lost this child. I don’t know whose fault it was. But someone is to blame. When you see that children are being abused and they don’t talk to their parents, what is he going to say? That they don’t trust their parents. Because they don’t trust their parents because they have obviously grown up in environments where there are no loving relationships, no love, no protection, no security,” he said characteristically.

Mrs. Athanasiou emphasized that the prevention is the best way to deal with such situations so that girls know how to manage an abusive relationship.
He explained that although everyone knows that they should not get involved in abusive relationships and that they should leave them the first time violence occurs, it does not mean that everyone can do it.
