A 49 year old mother of six children in Messina was attacked with a chemical liquid by her estranged husband while on her way to work. The attacker was arrested, while the woman who was attacked is in danger of losing her eye. This case with the 49-year-old brought to the minds of many the nightmare that she experienced Ioanna Paliospyrou in May 2020 when he was attacked with vitriol.
Ioanna Paliospyrou spoke to Alpha stating that she is shocked by the incident in Messina, while declaring that she will be by the side of the 49-year-old for whatever she needs.
“I’m shocked, I was informed yesterday. Every time I hear of a similar incident, the truth is that it disturbs me and I still don’t understand how a person can carry out such an act, it is certain that something should concern us.
“I feel that we are not safe, I talk to many women who tell me the same thing, so I believe that something has to change drastically in the prevention and then in dealing with such incidents”, underlined Ioanna Paliospyrou.
