The arogi.gov.gr platform opens today for those affected by fire of Penteli who wish to receive first assistance against housing assistance, with the issuance of a relevant joint ministerial decision. The platform will remain open for the submission of applications until September 9, 2022, while the amount of assistance for the beneficiaries can reach up to 14,000 euros and is configured according to the severity of damage to the property.
First aid can be granted for residences, commercial buildings and other non-commercial buildings.
As regards to procedure for the granting of first aid, any affected owner can submit an application on the arogi.gov.gr platform and request first aid aid against housing assistance, for a property for which he is going to apply for housing assistance.
The property must have been inspected by the competent services of the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport and judged to be:
• dangerous for use (“RED”) according to the re-inspection sheet or dangerous ready according to a Building Dangerous Ready Autopsy Protocol or totally damaged according to a Totally Damaged Building Autopsy Report or
• temporarily unfit for use (“YELLOW”) according to the re-inspection sheet or autopsy report.
When applying the properties located in the areas affected by the fire are pre-filled of July 19 from the current property situation, as it has been formed by the last statement E9 and in accordance with the specific provisions of the KYA. When submitting the application the corresponding bulletin or Report or Protocol of the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport must also be attached.
In the event that an application and file for the granting of housing assistance for the restoration of the affected building is not submitted within the prescribed deadlines, or the applicant is not deemed eligible for free state assistance for housing assistance after the examination of the file by the competent department of the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport, then the total aid amount is returned to the Greek State as unduly paid.

In fact, the aid can reach 14,000 euros, depending on the extent of the damage to each property. Property owners who suffered damage from the Penteli fire can submit a simple digital application at arogi.gov.gr until September 9 and receive a significant first aid, immediately and without unnecessary bureaucratic procedures. The Government continues the implementation of the support and rehabilitation plan for the region and of course can intervene with new measures, where necessary».
