In addition to this government being very cowardly, lying, cruel and perverse, it is sometimes comical and pathetic.
This week I read that the president’s political sons are chasing signatures to try to put Paulo Guedes in the running for the Nobel Prize in Economics.
It is said that those who are actually responsible for voting those selected are completely ignorant of this absurdity. The fact is that this list of signatories has been organized in a sphere totally apart from the academic committee that studies the names of the finalists, and it seems that the strategies of the Bolsonaristas who covet the trophy have no effect.
I keep imagining that when the president’s three sons start thinking, there’s always an idea that stinks. It looks like they think they’re geniuses, but in reality they’re closer to Moe, Larry and Curly (with all due respect to the Three Stooges) than any shadow of genius on the planet.
I confess that I was surprised by the bizarre story, but I shouldn’t have, since episodes like this are part of the context of these figures.
Eduardo was sure he was competent enough to be Brazil’s ambassador to Washington, even taking as a parameter of skills for the position the simple fact of believing he knows how to make a hamburger.
This situation can turn into an even more ridiculous scene if Paulo Guedes himself thinks that he has really built up some possible repertoire to compete for such an award. In my opinion, this is just another attempt to deceive the population to help the president seek re-election.
By this reasoning, and just trying to think that no one can be so rude as to see in Guedes any quality to run for a Nobel, I wonder: do the heirs believe that this terrible government could improve its image with the unlikely presence of the minister among those who really have merit to covet the prize?
Let’s face it, who are you kidding? Everyone knows that this president is the worst in the history of Brazilian politics.
I am impressed with the chronic bluntness of these people and the way they make use of lies, deception and fake news to try to show a non-existent reality of this government to the Brazilian people.
Everyone knows I love cinema, especially classic movies. And if I could transport the plot about this lying government into a feature film, the title of the tape would be “All the President’s Children.”
It’s a good thing that the majority of the audience at this cinema, according to research, is eager to see the end of the protagonism of this group that doesn’t even have the competence to act.
Palmeiras and Flamengo in an (almost) final
Not to say that I didn’t talk about football, this weekend we will practically have the championship final: Palmeiras x Flamengo. Why do I say this?
First because, with the difference of nine points, the team of Dorival Júnior –second place– needs the victory to still have any concrete chance of fighting for the title of the Brazilian Championship. This while still playing in the semifinals of the Copa do Brasil and Libertadores.
Another reason is that they are, by far, the two best teams of the year, with Flamengo playing very well since the arrival of Dorival.
In this second round, the two won the first three matches. The biggest difficulty for Flamengo is that it is not enough to simply win, it is necessary to hope for Abel Ferreira’s team to lose at least four games (which did not happen in the first round).
Another advantage for Palmeiras is to have at least two more weeks just to train – the result, say, of the painful elimination against São Paulo in the Copa do Brasil –, while the carioca squad will be involved in very difficult elimination disputes against the tricolor itself. paulista.
Anyway, all this shows the weight of this game. I believe that Palmeiras is the favorite to win not only the match but the championship.
But I’m also enjoying watching Flamengo play, especially Pedro, of whom I’m a fan. And it can’t be repeated too often: I hope to see him on the list of those called up for the friendlies against Ghana and Tunisia.
