Burglars… climbers had “vacated” 22 apartments in Thessaloniki

Two people are in the hands of the authorities who reached the balconies of the houses by climbing and breached the balcony doors. Their loot exceeds 40,000 euros

Burglars- climbers who they had “vacated” 22 apartments in Thessaloniki were arrested by police officers of the Crime Prevention and Suppression Department of the Thessaloniki Security Directorate.

The two people, age 31 and 30 years oldwere found to be using prohibited substances in the Evosmos area, in a car that did not have license plates

When the 31-year-old realized the presence of the police, he fled on foot, dropping a small package of cocaine weighing 1.5 grams, which he possessed together with the 30-year-old, on the ground. In his attempt to escape, he attempted to remove I.X.E. parked car, but was stopped and arrested despite vigorous resistance.

The arrest of the two men led, according to the police, to the solving of 22 house burglaries, which took place between April of this year and the beginning of August.

In more detail, the two people reached the balconies of the houses by climbing and then, after breaking the balcony doors, entered the houses where they took money and various valuables with their loot exceeding the 40,000 euros.

A search carried out in the vehicle in which the arrested persons were traveling turned up an abundance of burglary tools, while the 31-year-old had three convictions pending against him for theft, distinguished cases of theft and violation of the drug law.
