Caution: EFET recalls frozen fruit mixture

EFET requested the recall / withdrawal of the products in question, while the relevant checks are already underway. At the same time, it calls on consumers who have purchased the above products not to consume them.

A mixture of frozen fruits in which the presence of the hepatitis A virus was detected, is recalled from the market by the Unified Food Control Agency.

Specifically, EFET was informed through the Early Warning System for Food and Animal Feed (RASFF), about the distribution by the Belgian company “ARDO ARDOOIE NV” in the Greek market of a mixture of frozen fruits in which the presence of the hepatitis A virus was detected.

Following further investigation by EFET, the involved products are as follows:

a) the product with the trade name “ARDO FRUITBERRY MIX” and a best-by date preferably before 11/11/2024, in a 1 kg package, which was sold by the company “MART KAS & KARY ANONYMI EMPORIKI ETERIA SA”.

b) the product with the trade name “ARDO FRUITBERRY MIX” and a best-by date preferably before 11/05/2024, in a 2.5 kg package, which was distributed by the companies: i) “METRO SA” ii) “IOSIF MAKRIDAKIS SA” and iii) “GOGGAKIS SA”.
