Thessaloniki: The brazen theft of a safe in broad daylight has been solved – It had fallen on their way

A case of theft of a safe, which took place in August of this year on Nikis Avenue, was investigated by police officers of the White Tower Security Department.

For the case, a 23-year-old citizen was identified as the perpetrator, against whom a relevant case file was filed.

In particular, the 23-year-old, together with his accomplice, went to an apartment where two elderly citizens live and under the pretext of an electrical fault, they entered it and removed a safe, which contained various documents and a bag containing the sum of 4,500 euros, as well as various jewelry.

The completed case file will be submitted to Mr. Prosecutor of First Instance.

He had dropped them in the middle of the road

The photos and the video showing the perpetrators taking the safe to Nikis Avenue and loading it into their car, in broad daylight, in front of passers-by, had gone viral.

As they started to leave the scene, their safe fell on the road and then the perpetrators appear undaunted to get out of the car and put it back in the luggage compartment.
